Huron & Bruce Safe T Training's, Working at Heights-Fall Protection program will provide participants with an understanding of duties and responsibilities when working at elevated heights, potential fall hazards and controls, and appropriate selection, use and limitations of various types of fall protection and arresting equipment. This program reviews the basics of fall protection and then leads you through the correct application of the different systems. A practical demonstration of harness inspection and donning is provided in the course as all participants are required to inspect and don a harness during the class.
Telehandlers are a Class VII (7) Rough Terrain Forklift, typically used in construction-type environments. Competent instruction is a key component to achieving safe operation of this device.
Our course is designed to provide participants the ability to recognize hazards associated with the equipment and the environment in which it is operated, as well as the safe operating principles pertaining to safe operation of the equipment. The practical skills evaluation is to be performed at the worker’s place of employment.
Aerial Lift/ Elevated Work Platform- Certificate Course
Aerial lifting devices are becoming more prevalent in our workplaces. This course will provide operators with an understanding of the hazards associated with operating aerial lifting devices, the proper inspection and safe operation of the device. The course focuses on self propelled elevated work platforms and self propelled boom supported elevated work platforms. Fall Arrest use with an aerial lifting device is covered in the course.
Participants must have Working at Heights Training (Construction) or Fall Protection Training and a minimum of 16hrs operating experience.
Every year, there are incidents involving workers who are operating or working in the vicinity of Mobile Boom Cranes. Mobile Boom Crane operators require training from a competent individual. Proper training and competent instruction is a key component to successfully reducing incidents associated with mobile boom crane use.
This course applies to equipment with a maximum load capacity of 8 tons or less. It's a two-part program consisting of a comprehensive in-class theory session followed by practical operating evaluation at your location. The program covers a broad spectrum of mobile crane operation and basic rigging focusing on those particular to your operation.
